A wonderful weekend of great golfing competition. Well done to the finalists, Maisie, Niamh, Amelia & Lucy & congratulations to Lucy & Maisie on a closely-fought final, full of exceptional golf.
Huge congratulations go to Maisie as winner. Here are a selection of photos from the day.
I would like to thank everyone who took part in the rounds of the County Championship this year. It was tremendous to see the increase in numbers compared with last year and to see 16 people go through to the play-offs. It really made a lovely atmosphere and a sense of occasion for the 2025 championship. I would also like to say well done to all our players - there were some good scores recorded. The matches were all played in excellent sporting fashion. The Grace Boulton (Round 1) was won by Sarah Cranton and the Kate Brinton (rounds 1 and 2 gross) by Maisie Whittall. Full results can be seen our our website at WHLCGA.co.uk
Today we held the semi-final and final matches. This morning Maisie Whittall played Niamh Bush and Amelia Bryan played Lucy Walton. Lucy and Maisie won through to the final this afternoon which resulted in Maisie being crowned this year's county champion. Congratulations Maisie.
If you enjoyed the competition please encourage other members of your club to take part or to look at other events taking place this year.
My thanks go to the members of Droitwich Golf Club for being tremendous hosts, our referees and to all the organising team.
Regards
Vivienne Cranton (County Captain)
