On Sunday August 5th the A and the B Teams from Warley Woods CG Ladies’ Section played in the Area Final of the NAPGC (The National Association of Public and Proprietary Golf Courses) Whitewebbs Trophy.  After the initial rounds against Cannock Park, Hatchford Brook and Wishaw, it came down to a contest between Warley A and Warley B Teams to decide on who would go through to the National Final.  Warley's Lady Captain, Anne Hornsby, said, “We couldn’t have asked for a better day weatherwise for the Area Final.  Everyone in the club has keenly followed the progress of the two teams over the last few months and we were on tenterhooks to see who would make it through to the National Final at the end of September. "

The final scores were incredibly close, with the B Team securing a win on the day.  Good luck in the National Final at Thornbury GC!
